Ingvar Kamprad Fund

Ingvar Kamprad Fund

The Ingvar Kamprad Fund was created in December 2012 following a generous donation from the founder of IKEA. The initial capital income from this donation finances the activities or investments of the Asylum for the Blind Foundation in favour of blind or visually impaired children, particularly in the areas of education, care and prevention.

The first objective of the fund is to support projects aimed at facilitating the integration of children into society, but also their autonomy, rehabilitation or re-education. The fund also assists children in accessing healthcare, education, sports or cultural activities or any other activity enabling them to overcome their handicap, improve their well-being and develop their independence. The second objective is to detect visual problems in children from an early age, through actions such as screening days or a prevention brochure for parents available in 9 languages.
